Lavockin La-7
This skin is for a fictional unit (maybe 12th IAP), and is a greatly modified Captain Kurt's Ivan Kozedub's skin. (Thank you, Captain Kurt!)
I added the sharkmouth (Kostiljev style), modified the tactical number, the victory markings and the two "Hero of the Soviet Union" Stars. I added in cyrillic the word "Larissa", this is the name of my wife. But, you can delete it, and add your own inscription.
This plane was made for my own use, but I want to share it with the whole EAW Commuity.
Enjoy!

Here the original Cpt. Kurt's read-me file:

EAW Lavochkin La-7

This is a new 3dz model of the La-7 which I developed - starting with the old PAW Ki84 3DZ model. Very little is left of that. It has been completely reshaped and redesigned to an accurate La 7 model. There are also new 3DZ files for distance view models, a new shadow, and the fuselage and tail are now non-mirroring as well. It is intended for use with Charles Gunsts ECAPanel, using the Tempest slot. Fly it in Emils "Caucuses Campaign"
add-on.

The skins are 3dfx compatible. There is a D3D model and a Glide 3dz model for this plane. I had some big help to resolve some early problems when running it in Glide, from Charles Gunst, Geo, and Steve Day.

Steve Day has provided the skins for this model. He updated his earlier La 7 skin based on the PAW Frank, and produced a couple of great new skins as well. I think you will agree he did a fine job.

The cockpit was originally done by Stefan Wikstrom (Hynkel) for the older La5s (PAW Ki-84 based). It has been adapted with new wing view to work with this model.

This two tone grey camo (winter) skin is representative of one flown by Ivan Kozhedub of 176 guards IAP in 1944-45.

To use just install the TPC and 3DZ files into your EAW folder.

Cheers,

Captain Kurt
